Lightning, Trojan JV warm up with match
YUCCA VALLEY — The Joshua Springs and Yucca Valley high school softball teams were in action Friday afternoon as the Lady Lightning squared off against the Trojan junior varsity team at Tri-Valley Little League park.

Williamsville, Loami rebuilding as tornado season approaches
The tornado that tore through Loami Aug. 19 destroyed at least 13 homes and damaged a dozen more. A tornado also struck Williamsville that day, destroying 10 homes and damaging 35. About seven months later, most of the damage in the two communities has been repaired.
